How To Become a Christian?

By coming to this page it shows that God is beginning to work in your heart and draw you to Himself (Romans 3:11). It is very important to understand that God loves you and designed you to have a personal relationship with Him (Genesis 1:26-27). However, sin (Disobedience to Gods commands) separated us from God and broke that intimate relationship with Him (Isaiah 59:1-2). The penalty of our sin is death (Romans 6:23) and has been passed down through Adam to all people (Romans 5:12). Now comes the Good News, Jesus Christ (God) came to earth to give his life in payment for our sins (Romans 5:6-11). However a dead God is not able to help us, but after three days in the grave Jesus rose from the dead and now sits in heave where he cares for us (Ephesians 1:18-23). Now, by believing that Jesus death is sufficient to remove our sins and by confessing and asking Him to remove our sin and become our Lord we can be restored to the relationship for which we were designed (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Here are two simple prayers that you can use to express your hearts desire to God. (Remember that saying words can never save you, it is your hearts desire to know and accept Gods way that saves you.)

If you are having trouble believing pray this prayer:
“God, I want to believe in you. Help me to trust you and believe that what the Bible says is true and trustworthy.”

If you are ready to accept Christ now, pray:
“God, I know that I am a sinner and that my sin has cost me my relationship with you. I believe that you died on the cross to pay my penalty and that you arose from the dead. I am asking you to take away my sins and that you would become the leader of my life.”

Romans 3:11
“There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God;”

Genesis 1:26-27
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Isaiah 59:1-2
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short That it cannot save; Neither is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned-

Romans 5:6-11
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to Got through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Ephesians 1:18-23
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.
